Children’s Ministry Workshops

The Ohio Conference Child and Family Education Ministry, under the direction of Cindy French, recently offered three regional opportunities to experience CLIMB (Children Learning Innovative Ministry Basics).  The CLIMB team is made up of lay leaders who are intentionally focused on nurturing the spiritual development of children ages 5-12.  Over 200 adults and children participated in workshops on puppet ministry, creative family worship, community ministry, resiliency, and make-and-take Sabbath bags.  Participants were pleased with the content.  “Every idea was wonderful and my spirit was uplifted,” and “I appreciated the emphasis on bringing our children into mainstream church,” are a sampling of the positive feedback.
