  Mohaven is one of two church camp and retreat centers for the Seventh-day Adventist Church presence in Ohio. It is owned and operated by the Ohio Conference of Seventh-day Adventist churches. Mohaven occupies 700 acres of lush forest in the Danville area, bordering 2 ¼ miles of the scenic Mohican River. Goals The philosophy of Mohaven’s existence is based on the Church’s valuing the belief that Nature is God’s ‘second book,’ after the Bible. Built on this foundation is the purpose to bring people back to the appreciation of nature. This includes learning how to be a good citizen of Planet Earth at this user-friendly camp and retreat center, while learning more about God, nature’s Creator.
